Manaslu trekking is one of the classic treks in Nepal that lies in the western part of Nepal. Mount Manaslu (8163m) is the world’s 8th  highest mountain in the world. Trekking in Manaslu offers an immense opportunity to experience the mountain scenery of three above 8000m mountains ( Mt. Manaslu 8163m, Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m & Mt. Annapurna I 8091m), beautiful landscapes, river falls, Monasteries, mixed culture, and forests. Mount Manaslu was first climbed on 9th May 1956, by Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu, members of a Japanese expedition.  

Trekking in Manaslu -its recent rise in popularity remains remote and off-the-beaten-path compared to the better-known teahouse treks in Nepal like Everest trekking, Annapurna trekking, and Langtang trekking. Mt. Manaslu trek path is a rugged and less-developed trail through varied beautiful landscapes and cultures, visiting ancient Buddhist villages close to the Tibetan border and culminating in a dramatic high crossing of the windswept Larkya La pass(5105 m). Larkya La pass is a challenging pass of Manaslu region trekking.

All the trekking routes are well-developed, quality trekking lodges – tea houses, the variety of hygienic meals like Nepalese, Chinese, Indian, Tibetan, American, European. Treks in the Manaslu region required four different trekking permits –  Manaslu special trekking permit,  Manaslu conservation park permit (MCAP), Annapurna conservation park permit (ACAP permit), Trekkers Information management system (TIMS permit), get through legal Nepal trekking agency.

Trek to Manaslu region has numerous routes among them  Manaslu circuit trekking, Manaslu Tsum valley trekking, Manaslu Larkya la pass trekking, Tsum valley trekking, Manaslu Annapurna circuit trek are most famous trekking destination in Manaslu. Minimum two people required for Mount Manaslu trek through government registered Nepal trekking company it means a single person can’t get trekking permit.
